Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story Plot
“Centred on Queen Charlotte’s rise to prominence and power, this Bridgerton-verse prequel tells the story of how the young Queen’s marriage to King George sparked both a great love story and a societal shift, creating the world of the Ton inherited by the characters in Bridgerton,” according to the official synopsis.
In the original series, we were taught that the reason for Bridgerton’s colorblind society was King George and Queen Charlotte’s love story, in which they conquered the barriers to create a more equitable society. So, presumably, there was more of a separation before their connection, so race may play a larger role in the spin-off than it does in the main series.
