#TheBear on @hulu is a perfect season. As much as I love that show I hope they don’t make a season 2.
…..but if they do…it better be the best goddam show they’ve ever made.

Season 2 will almost certainly introduce some new characters. More of Carmy’s relatives or fine dining restaurant coworkers may appear in the present or in flashbacks. The episode may reveal Richie, Sydney, or Marcus’s family members.
The Bear Season 2 Plot
Season 1 concluded with Carmy’s restaurant being renamed The Bear from The Original Beef of Chicagoland. The second season is scheduled to follow Carmy and the crew in their endeavor to revitalize and rebrand the establishment. The chef is particularly stressed because he is exclusively responsible for devising new menus, decor, and services.
Throughout Season 1, we learn about Carmy’s job as an employee at both fine dining facilities and run-down diners. Being thrust into the role of a business owner can be intimidating for anyone, especially if they have no prior experience.
The weight of the world is on his shoulders as he attempts to show his team, family, and himself that he can succeed in his next project. It will be interesting to see where Carmy takes his vision while still honoring his brother’s initial plan.

In a podcast interview with Radio Cherry Bombe, Jeremy Allen White alluded to the possibility of stand-alone episodes for a handful of the characters in the second season. While this path may provide unique perspectives on the dynamics of the culinary family, Storer is brimming with possibility after closing Season 1 on a high note that opens up new creative possibilities.
The director leaves the spectator wondering, “What does Carmy intend to do with his brother’s fortune?” and it’s clear that this is the overarching question that will ultimately guide Carmy’s future experiences in the series. Expect a restaurant makeover and increased conflict between staff and family members, mixed with a few mental breakdowns.
