In 2023, Superman and Lois will return to TV during the middle of the season. At least when it comes to the Kent family, the show will look very different. Before filming began, it was said that Jordan Elsass would no longer play Jonathan Kent. Even though Jon’s twin brother Jordan will still be around in season 3, fans will have to get used to a new actor.
People are looking forwards to the third season of this popular show. The show is one of the most popular on The CW and is thought to be one of the best ways to tell the story of Clark Kent and Lois Lane. Some, like me, would even say that Tyler Hoechlin is the best Superman ever.
So, where does the show go next? Here’s everything we know about Superman and Lois‘ third season including casting news, when the season could arrive on HBO Max, and more!
Superman & Lois Season 3 Renewal Status
The CW happily announced in a press release that shows will continue their adventure on television, and two Arrowverse series made a list: The Flash and Superman & Lois. Both of these beloved programs are slated to return next year, and fans could not be more ecstatic, considering that both are still airing their prior seasons.
With the merging of Warner Bros. and Discovery, it is uncertain whether Superman & Lois will return for a fourth season. After Season 3, there is no indication of whether the series will be renewed, and it appears that the merger has halted any DC efforts outside of the corporation.
Superman & Lois Season 3 When Will It Come Out?
Superman and Lois Season 3 will come out in 2023. The official release date hasn’t been set yet, but the show has a history of coming out pretty early. Its first season started in February (2021), and its second season started in January (2022). Also, The CW seems to be moving away from summer releases, so Superman and Lois’s third season will probably have already started a long time before then.
Taking all of this into account, the show’s third season is likely to start airing between January and March. This is when the network usually releases its midseason shows, and since Superman and Lois have always followed this pattern, it wouldn’t be too strange if they did it again with season 3.
As always, that’s just a guess, so the best thing you can do is wait until The CW confirms the date. But you can be sure that Clark, Lois, and the Kent-Lane-Irons family will take us on another adventure next year.

Superman & Lois Season 3 Plot
Even though the plot of season 3 hasn’t been revealed yet, the end of season 2 hinted at a chaotic merging of Earth and the Bizarro World. This means that season 3 is likely to start off with a lot going on. Also, it doesn’t look like Jordan and Sarah will be together in the third season.
Helbing told DC Comics, “It’s kind of like a lot of teen relationships: you go in and out of it.” “Sometimes you’re really focused, and other times things kind of die down. I think that Jordan will always love Sarah, and I think that Sarah will always love Jordan.
But right now, they probably won’t be together in the future. We’ll see if they get back together in the long run, but for now, it doesn’t look likely.” The showrunner added that he is sure the Lane family will face many problems in season 3.

“With Superman, you’ll see how season 3 goes and how (our new villain) makes his life harder, as well as the lives of John Henry and Nat,” he said. “Themes-wise, it should all fit together.“
Superman And Lois Season 3 Cast
Tyler Hoechlin is expected to return as Clark Kent/Superman, Elizabeth Tulloch as Lois Lane, and Alexander Garfin as Jordan Kent for Superman & Lois Season 3.
Deadline said that after Jordan Elsass, who plays Jonathan Kent on the show, leaves, the family will no longer be the same. With Elsass’s departure, Michael Bishop has been chosen to take over as Jonathan Kent for Season 3 of the show.
Elsass broke his silence about leaving the show and talked to The Wrap about it “It’s a shame, and it’s sad. I was definitely looking forwards to Season 3, but what are you going to do? In any case, mental health is 100% a top priority. It’s the best. It has to be done first.”
During The CW’s “Arrow Guests: Saving Star City” panel at Dragon Con, David Ramsey revealed that Chad Coleman, who is known for his roles in The Orville and The Walking Dead, will be the main bad guy in Superman & Lois Season 3.

Chad L. Coleman has been confirmed to play Bruno Mannheim. In an interview with Horror Geek Life, which was posted on Movieweb, he talked about how excited he was to play the role. He is no stranger to DC roles, either, since he played one on Arrow.
Coleman said, “I’m very excited about Superman & Lois, for which I’m wearing this hat. This role is everything I’ve ever done, and as shallow as it sounds, he’s the richest and most powerful guy I’ve ever played. The actors and people who run the show are great.”
