Pachinko Season 2 Release Date
Season two of Pachinko has now been officially renewed, but given the international scope of this project, it may still take some time to reach us.
In addition, showrunner Soo Hugh has another Apple TV+ show in the works. The White Darkness, based on David Grann’s non-fiction book, will star Loki’s Tom Hiddleston as a British explorer who attempted to cross Antarctica on foot.
Hugh is co-creating the project with Black Swan writer Mark Heyman as showrunner. Given all of this, we wouldn’t be surprised if Pachinko season two doesn’t air until 2024, though the early renewal gives us hope that it will.
The full filming schedule for the second season of the Apple TV+ drama ‘Pachinko’ has been released. Season 2 will be produced in two locations, similar to Season 1, but instead of Vancouver, it will be Toronto, Canada, and instead of Busan, South Korea, it will be Japan.
Season 2 of ‘Pachinko’ will begin filming on January 9th in Mississauga, Toronto, and will conclude almost three months later on March 27, 2023. The Japanese shoot is set to start on March 27th.

Pachinko Season 2 Plot
The story takes place in all three countries, and it focuses on love, war, and peace. During World War 2, the lives of Korean families are upended, and they must find a way to persevere. The journey and the story both start in the year 1893, but they both continue and advance throughout the 19th century.
In spite of the widespread poverty and unpredictability of the political climate, the main character of the series, Sunja, is obligated to make her way to Japan.
She arrives in Japan under the impression that things will be better for her there but soon discovers that the hatred that the Japanese people feel toward Koreans is unparalleled and that perhaps her life was better in Korea. As soon as Hansu, a Korean Merchant who comes from a wealthy Japanese family, enters the picture, she knows that the next chapter in her life is going to be an exciting one.
Where To Watch Pachinko Season 2?
The upcoming second season of Pachinko will continue to chronicle and investigate how Sunja’s developing story led to the struggles of her family across multiple generations. Apple TV+ has announced that it will air a second season of the hit Korean historical drama, which is based on the best-selling novel of the same name written by Min Jin Lee.
