Neighbours star, Kate Keltie, diagnosed with stage four breast cancer

Kate Keltie, who played Michelle Scully on the renowned serial opera Neighbours, has been diagnosed with stage four breast cancer.

Keltie, 36, portrayed the Scully sister from 1999 to 2004, with Holly Valance and Carla Bonner portraying her on-screen sisters.

A GoFundMe campaign established to collect money for Keltie has already raised $30,000.

The friend who created the website, Ebonie Gilbert, said that Keltie’s illness was “very aggressive.”

She added, “Our lovely Kate is experiencing the unfathomable.” “She was recently diagnosed with breast cancer in Stage 4.”

“Her cancer is highly aggressive and has spread to her lymph nodes, blood, and hip bones” (known as metastatic cancer).

“This week begins the fight of her life as she begins chemotherapy,”

Given the severity of the chemotherapy Kate must undergo, her oncologist has informed her that working and retaining her career at this period is impossible.

Gilbert added that doctors had informed Keltie that she would never be able to have children.

Gilbert stated, “This is heartbreaking news for anybody, but especially for a 36-year-old with no family history of breast cancer.”

In addition to emotional support, financial assistance is one of the finest things we can provide.

Gilbert stated that the monies will be used for Keltie’s daily living needs and expert appointments.

After the GoFundMe page went up, the actress added her own words of gratitude.

She commented, “It’s really fantastic to know I have so many incredible individuals on my side.”

“I’ve recently completed Covid and will begin my first round of chemotherapy tomorrow, and you have no clue how much your support has altered my mindset leading up to it.

Many donors stated that they were admirers of her time on Neighbours.
