Sci-fi Thriller Drama Alice in Borderland Season 2 Release Date is Confirmed by Netflix!!

Shinsuke Sato is in charge of the 2020 Japanese science fiction thriller drama streaming TV show Alice in Borderland. It is based on Haro Aso’s manga with the same name. The first episode of the show came out on Netflix on December 10, 2020. Netflix picked up the show for a second season just two weeks after the first season came out. The second season will be out soon.

Netflix picked up the show for a second season, and production was officially done two weeks after the first season came out. The second season will premiere on December 22, 2022, at either 12 a.m. (PT) or 3 a.m. (ET). Anyone who wants to know when the show will be available on Netflix can also turn on notifications.

Also, Netflix’s official Twitter account confirmed the news by posting the official first look, which has some exclusive stills from the upcoming season and says, “Alice in Borderland returns in December, and here’s a sneak peek at Season 2!” Check out the official message below:

Alice In Borderland Season 2 Cast

Some of our favorite characters from the first season of Alice in Borderland won’t be in the new one, but we knew that already. RIP, Chota and Karube! But a lot of the main characters, especially those we met in The Beach, will be back for Season 2. Arisu is played by Kento Yamazaki, and Usagi is played by Tao Tsuchiya. We’ll also see Nijiro Murakami again as Chishiya, and Akaya Miyoshi as Ann.

Dori Sakurada plays Niragi, and Aya Asahina returns to play Kuina. Sho Aoyagi will play the role of Aguni, and Riisa Naka will play the role of Mira in Season 2. In March 2022, Netflix put up a video of the cast of Alice in Borderland talking about how it felt to finish filming the second season.

Alice In Borderland Season 2 Plot

Alice in Borderland presented a group of friends who are stranded in an abandoned Tokyo and forced to participate in card games. Players obtain “visas” after successfully completing their first card game, which is extended further upon successful completion of subsequent card games.

If the visas expire, the individuals are executed by shooting red lasers from the sky. Season 1 of Alice in Borderland concludes with a flashback. Momoka walks across the deserted city with her companion Asahi, filming films on her phone. In the present, Arisu approaches Aguni, who informs the group that he is “the witch,” but that his victim was his best buddy Hatter, who shot him in self-defense.

Meanwhile, Arisu responds that the witch’s name is Momoka, not Aguni. As Aguni tries to murder Niragi, who is still determined to kill everyone, the remaining players toss Momoka into the blaze, effectively ending the game. Chishiya collects the final card as the survivors flee the burning hotel. Arisu and Usagi watch many films recorded by Asahi, who committed suicide during the game, the next day.

According to the video, Asahi and Momoka are dealers for players who plan games to prolong their visas. Another film shows the couple visiting an underground lair teeming with gamemasters. Arisu and Usagi locate the hideout, only to see a heap of executed gamemasters. According to Chechnya and Kuina, gamemasters are also the players.

Fans witnessed a woman named Mira in the final scene propose a new series of games to gather face cards. Season 2 of Alice in Borderland will tie up all the loose ends left by the first season. Mira’s identity will undoubtedly be revealed to fans. The Game Master is most likely the mystery woman.

We’ve seen our first footage, which is a good thing. It’s just a hint, but you can see it below. Once we knew that season two would start in December 2022, we thought we’d see the trailer in the month before the premiere, but we’ve already seen a teaser.

The short look is being called a “super teaser trailer,” and it gives us a lot of “game” talk as the idea of Battle Royale if it were written by Lewis Carroll gets even bigger. Alice in Borderland is now on Netflix for people to watch.
