Ex-PM Zafarullah Khan Jamali joins Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf

Former Prime Minister of Pakistan Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali has joined Imran Khan-led Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf.

According to a PTI spokesman, Zafarullah Jamali held several telephonic talks with Yar Muhammad Rind over the issue.

The spokesman said, “Zafarullah Khan Jamali has decided to join PTI”.

Both the leaders have agreed to meet soon and make a formal announcement. PTI’s Additional Secretary of Information Faisal Javed Khan also announced the joining through a tweet welcoming Zafarullah Jamali. The tweet read:

“Welcome to Ex PM of Pakistan and Sr. Politician Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf. He had left PML-N over principles despite being in Power. Jamali sab is a good addition to our team,”

Zafarullah Jamali served as the 13th Prime Minister of Pakistan from 2002 to 2004. He resigned under the military rule of Pervez Musharraf.
