A paramedic Razan al-Najjar was killed by Israeli forces.
Palestinians in the Gaza Strip have been protesting along the fence for more than two months now as they mark 70 years of creation of Israel and the expulsion of over 750 000 Arabs from Palestine.
Since the protest began on March 30, Israeli forces have killed 121 Palestinians, wounding over 12 000, in the besieged coastal enclave.
Paramedic killed in Gaza by Israeli forces
21-year-old paramedic Razan al-Najjar was shot dead by the Israeli forces while trying to help a casualty near the fortified fence.
According to eye witnesses and Palestinian health officials, al-Najjar was wearing a white uniform, which identifies medical staff from other protesters, but the Israeli forces opened fire, anyway.
“She raised her hands high in a clear way, but Israeli soldiers fired and she was hit in the chest,” a witness told Reuters news agency.
The Palestinian heath officials claim that over 100 protesters were wounded other than Razan al-Najjar, 40 of them with live fire.READ MORE: Reham Khan’s book to unleash “political chaos” upon Pakistan
