Imran Khan to face Saad Rafique in NA-131 showdown

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan is set to face former Railways Minister Saad Rafique from Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML(N)) for NA-131 seat in the upcoming general elections scheduled to be held on 25th June, 2018.

In what is being reported as “the election between PTI and PML(N),” both aforementioned parties have decided on the names of their respective candidates who will be contesting from Lahore.

Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s daughter Maryam Nawaz Sharif will be facing PTI’s Yasmeen Rashid in the upcoming general elections for one of the most important seats of NA-125.

PML(N’s) president Shehbaz Sharif will be battling out for NA-132, whereas his son Hamza Shehbaz will be standing against PTI’s Waleed Iqbal. PTI’s Hammad Azhar will be facing Meher Ishtiaq for NA-126, PTI’s Ijaz Diyal will be up agaisnt PML(N’s) Sohail Shaukat Butt, and PTI’s Aleem Khan will be facing PML(N’s) Sardar Ayaz Sadiq for NA-129.

Sources have revealed that former CM Punjab Shehbaz Sharif will be getting hold of the nomination papers for provincial constituencies as well.

The final list of candidates will be decided by the parliamentary board of the parties.
