Triumphant chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and prime minister candidate Imran Khan thanked God for the Avenfield verdict on Friday.
Speaking to a massive gathering at Kabul Ground, Sawat, the former cricketer said that he came into politics to get rid of corrupt leaders such as Sharif brothers and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari. He also told his supporters to get ready for a ‘Naya Pakistan.’

He said Nawaz and Shehbaz Sharif started corruption in the country by buying people plots. Imran Khan said corruption both destroys and paralyses institutions and the country.

This is the first time in the country’s history that a powerful person has been punished, he said, adding that today everyone should thank God. “This is just the beginning of ‘Naya Pakistan’,” Imran told his supporters.

Now, no thieves or corrupt people will be able to become prime minister, he said. “On July 26, a new Pakistan will be born,” he vowed.
